The City University of Macau is now inviting applications for the following positions:
- Assistant Professor / lecturer in Social Work

Candidates are expected to contribute significantly to the faculty program development, successful candidates will be responsible for duties including: (i) teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels; (ii) supervision and coordination of student’s professional practice and dissertations in the relevant fields; (iii) conducting research and publishing in the expertise fields.
We are looking for academics with at least two areas of the following aspects of Social Worker:
Community social work; Counseling or Social work practice with family; internship management; social work in health.
- A PhD degree required for Assistant Professorship in the area of Social Work;
- A record of internationally recognized research publications;
- Relevant teaching experience in higher education institution or equivalent training settings;
- Ability to communicate effectively in Chinese and English;
- Macau residents will be particularly considered in selection.
The remuneration and appointment rank offered will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualifications, current position and professional experience. The compensation/benefits are competitive. The current local maximum income tax rate in Macao is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
